A trade show featuring 54 exhibitors crossing a range of services including financial, social, health care, beauty, legal and housing fields starts at 3 p.m. Thursday at the new Microtel Inn & Suites.
The new hotel will be the largest exhibit - the 75-room inn with restaurant, lounge, pool and conference areas will be on display. The businesses opened Sept. 30 at 1320 Business Way.
"That’s exciting. It just shows there is still growth," said marketing spokeswoman Elsa Petrick of Shutter Specialists. She and her husband opened the business in Lehigh three years ago.
The trade show strengthens the mentality that the community is united and willing to support one another’s business, Petrick said.
"It’s to show that as a town we have a lot more to offer than meets the eye," Petrick said.
The show was organized by the Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce with the sponsorship help of Lehigh Regional Medical Center.
"Part of it is the excitement of the new hotel," chamber executive director Ollie Conover said. "The other part is we’re not charging the public to come in."
Conover said he’s hoping that 300 people will come by to see what kinds of businesses, products and services are available in Lehigh.
